Special Mention Essays from High School Seniors

Queer Foundation is happy to grant, upon request, permission to teachers and counselors to reproduce and use in their schools, for educational purposes only, high-school seniors' essays submitted in the annual English essay contest. We ask only that you give credit to the authors and to the Queer Foundation Effective Writing and Scholarships Program.

We would like to hear from you. How have you used the essays and how you did you hear about them? Send email to Joseph Dial,

"LGBTQ Youths' Speech and Writing as Contributors to a Rich and Diverse School Culture," presentation by the Executive Director at NCTE 2012, the Convention of the National Council of Teachers of English
